PolicyReveal is an independent editorial publication. We also offer tools — the X-Ray and agent matching — that, when you choose to use them, connect you with one independent insurance agent. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and exactly who we share it with.
Reading PolicyReveal requires nothing from you. If you choose to submit your information through the X-Ray or an agent-matching form, that information is shared with our lead-processing platform (Sidecar) and with one independent licensed agent, who reviews your submission and contacts you about it. We do not post your contact details for open sale or route them to a list of buyers — one vetted agent, not a partner network. You can opt out or request deletion at any time.
1.Who we are
PolicyReveal ("PolicyReveal," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by Addison Myers Group LLC. This Privacy Policy applies to the PolicyReveal website and the tools offered on it.
PolicyReveal is part of a family of related properties operated by or affiliated with Addison Myers Group LLC, all powered by the same lead-processing platform (see Section 5). When we say "the network" below, we mean those affiliated properties.
2.Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details — name, email address, phone number, ZIP code or state, and similar details you enter into the X-Ray, an agent-matching form, or the newsletter signup.
- Policy and insurance details — information you provide about your existing or desired coverage, and any documents you upload (illustrations, in-force ledgers, quotes, or images of them).
- Your inquiry — the coverage need, reason, and preferences you tell us.
Information we collect automatically
- Usage and device data — pages viewed, referring URL, approximate location derived from IP, browser and device type, and similar analytics.
- Marketing attribution — UTM parameters, referrer, and the landing page or property you arrived from within the network.
- Consent-verification data — when you submit a form, third-party services (TrustedForm and Jornaya) capture a certified record of your interaction with the consent language (see Section 6).
Information from third parties
We may receive information about you from the affiliated network property you started on, from our service providers, and — if an agent contacts you — from that agent.
3.How we use your information
- To run the X-Ray and return your report.
- To match you with one independent licensed insurance agent, who reviews your submission and contacts you, when you request it.
- To contact you about your inquiry and, if you subscribe, to send the newsletter.
- To operate, secure, analyze, and improve our sites and tools.
- To comply with law and to document consent for telephone-contact compliance.
4.Cookies and tracking
We and our providers use cookies and similar technologies for analytics, attribution, and to make the site work. Third-party consent-certification scripts (TrustedForm, Jornaya) run on our form pages. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking some may affect site functionality.
5.How we share your information
This is the most important section, so we've kept it plain.
Sidecar (our lead-processing platform)
When you submit an X-Ray or agent-matching request, your information is transmitted to Sidecar Lead ("Sidecar"), the platform that processes and routes matching requests across our network. Sidecar acts as our service provider and routing engine for connecting consumers with agents.
Your matched independent agent
When you submit an X-Ray or agent-matching request, we share your inquiry and contact information with one independent licensed insurance agent so they can review it and contact you about your request. That agent is an independent third party, not an employee of PolicyReveal, and their use of your information is governed by their own privacy practices. We do not distribute your submission to a list of buyers.
The affiliated network
PolicyReveal shares infrastructure with a number of affiliated properties operated by or partnered with Addison Myers Group LLC — including a network of more than one hundred geo-targeted landing-page sites and other consumer properties — all of which route submissions through the same Sidecar platform. Information you submit may be processed within this network for the purpose of fulfilling your request.
Service providers
We use vendors for hosting, analytics, email delivery, and consent certification (including TrustedForm and Jornaya). They may process your information only to provide services to us.
Legal and safety
We may disclose information to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, safety, and property of any person.
We do not post your contact information for open, indiscriminate sale or route it to a list of buyers, and our editorial side takes no carrier money. But sharing your information with your matched agent and routing it through Sidecar and the affiliated network — as described above — may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under some U.S. state privacy laws (for example, California's CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to opt out; see Section 8.
6.Phone contact and TCPA consent
If you provide a phone number and submit an agent-matching request with consent, you agree to be contacted by PolicyReveal and one independent licensed agent at the number and email you provide — including by autodialed calls, prerecorded or artificial-voice messages, and SMS text messages — regarding your insurance inquiry.
Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time — reply STOP to text messages, tell any caller to place you on their do-not-call list, or contact us at the address below. We use TrustedForm and Jornaya to create an independent, time-stamped record of the consent language shown to you and your agreement to it.
7.Data retention and security
We retain your information for as long as needed to fulfill your request, operate our business, and meet legal and compliance obligations (including retaining consent records). We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
8.Your choices and rights
- Opt out of contact — unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any email; reply STOP to texts; ask any agent to stop contacting you.
- Access, correction, and deletion — you may ask us to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, including your uploaded documents.
- Opt out of "sale"/"sharing" — where applicable law provides it (e.g., California residents), you may opt out of the sharing described in Section 5.
To exercise any of these, contact us using Section 11. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
9.Children's privacy
Our sites and tools are intended for adults (18 and over) and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
10.Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be posted on this page.
